Default 96 LS 4x4 blazer shifting problems

Hey, I have an automatic1996 LS blazer and its starting to act wierd shifting from 1st to second. Any ideas on what this could be? i'm not all too savy about this stuff so i have no idea.

also, my blazer doesnt have a tachometer on the dashboard. how much would it cost to get a dashboard with one?

i know i have a gas pump problem, and it will sometimes seems like the tranny, but is it like slowy(even if your on full throatle) acclerating to 30 and then resuming normal acceration,? if it is its your torque converter, but it could just be a worn out first gear, i had a simialr problem i used a bottle of lucas oil (tranny addtive, in white squirt type bottle) and it fixed the problem, but can you tell us exactly what its doing so it can help us help you better

well when the engines cold or its cold out it seems to happen more but it happens pretty often in various conditions, like a few times a day.

As for you wanting a tach,go to a local junkyard,a local pick and pull is cheapest and pull the entire insturment cluster assm, then if you know what you are doing you should be able to take your old odometer out of your original cluster and put it in your new one, however if you dont know how to do this or dont want to do this then a speedo shop should be able to do it for you.If you need instructions I can walk you through it as I upgraded the cluster in my 95 and transferred my old odometer to my new cluster. As for years that are compatiblewith your blazer,im not sure maybe another forum member can shed more light on what years will work, other than transfering your odometer it is a plug and go upgrade.

do you think I could just take the insturment cluster from a 1996 blazer LT? they have a tachometer on them.

Surethat should be fine just transfer your old odometer,if you need directions on how to do that let me know, you will need a torx bit to take apart the cluster.
