Is it actually out of the transmission sitting on the coffee table or are you wanting to give the trans a good cleaning while driving it?

i did drop the pan today with my pops but we didnt take it out yet

Hows does the forward gears shift? Before removing the valve body remember there is a bunch of little check ***** etc that will fall out. I have no idea where they go,but if you do this i can find you some diagrams etc.

Id put the pan back on,put in some new fluid and add some seafoam trans flush and drive it 40 miles then change the filter etc and fluid...if thats not it I remember a thread on it on another forum about having no reverse and issues that cause it. Im trying to find it now
