I have a 2002 2 wheel drive Chevy blazer. Recently a clicking noise coming from the driver side dash\engine area has started. It only clicks when you accelerate. As soon as you let off the gas it stops. Also it stops after the car has been running for about 15 min. It doesn't really sound like metal clicking, it sounds more like something plastic. The more you accelerate, the quicker it clicks.

 

does it happen in park\neutral too? or only drive?

 

this may sound really stupid. have you check your center caps of your rims if you have them? mine were loose and were really loud, a quick few wraps with electrical tape tightened it, but it was worse on the drivers side and made it sound like engine noise/clicking
