Default cooling fan on 1999 4.3L vortec

We are trying to replace my water pump at the moment and we are stuck on how to pull off my fan, we removed the four bolts but we cant figureout how to remove it. Help would be very much appreciated, preferably with pics if at all possible.

Put the bolts back in and put the belt back on. Take a large adjustable wrench and put it onto the large hex on the fan clutch. Have another person use a breaker bar to put more pressure on the belt while you hit the adjustable wrench with a dead blow hammer. Righty tighty, lefty loosy. Give it a good smack to the left and it should loosen up.

Welcome to the forum.
You can go and borrow or rent the 2 piece removal tool or you can try using a large cresent wrench and a hammer.
I have sometimes had succes ( sometimes) leaving the belt on the pulley, putting a cresent wrench on the large nut and using a hammer with a quick hard hit on the handle of the wrench to loosen the nut.
Here's a pic for you.
