fuel sending unit
Ive done some searching and havent really found anything. Is it possible to buy just the float or do I need to replace the entire sending unit? Anyone know where to find the whole unit or just the float for a good price (1st gen s-10 blazer)? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that you can replace the module and re-use your existing fuel pump.
It might help to know exactly what year and fuel delivery system you have.

im not worried about the pump. Im talking about the sending unit. Its the device that sits in the gas tank that tells the gas guage how much gas there is. I have a 1986 s10 blazer with the 2.8L V6. I think it has the 13 gallon tank.

RE: fuel sending unit
I know what you're talking about and what a sending unit is.
I asked about you're fuel delivery system to find out if it was carburated or fuel injected.
The fuel sender and fuel pump come out of the tank together as a module. ( the module has changed over the years)
You can buy the fuel sender by itself and transfer the parts you need to.
The problem would probably not be the float, it would probably be a worn resister at the top of the float arm.

oh ok. sorry. Its the carb engine. I was hoping I wouldnt have to replace the entire sending unit. Cheapest I have been able to find is $120 minus a 10% military discount.
