Fuel System Leaking - Will Not Relieve Pressure
I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer and at time fuel will start leaking from the vent solenoid that is located over the spare tire. When this occurs the engine is not running. When you loosen the gas cap the leak stops. So far the solenoid valve has been changed and the latest thing was fuel pump. The garage that I took it to told me that GM told them it is a fuel pump problem. Well that did not take care of it and they did not charge me for the pump or any labor. I changed the gas cap and so far nothing until the other day and it started leaking again. Does anyone have any ideas. I am thinking about changing the canister.

I have a similar situation with the fuel leaking above the spare tire in my 1999 blazer. It seems to occur on hotter days. Not sure if this is related but it is sluggish/bogged down from a complete stop as if the E brake were set or the tranny not operating correctly. When it leaks fuel it sputter and the rpms will flutter as well. Were you able to find a solution?
