Everything I have read (its been alot cause I was having issues myself) says no they will not work.

i was told by many that when i replaced the tranny on my 97 blazer that i could only use a transmission from 96 or 97, the 98 up were different and the 95 down were different

Thanks for clearing that up. Are the 99's and up the same or were there changes after 99 too?

Im pretty they were the same as the 2000 model then after that the trans was revamped and tagged with 4L65e.Which by the way was far more superior to older models.A strong sunshell was used along with more clutches.
