Kick-down adjustment
How do you adjust the kick-down on a 9-95 blazer 4.3L with 3 speed and OD trans. I released pressure on the clip at the throttle. Do I allow the spring pressure to take up slack and then lock or do I need some play in the cable.
My problem is it feels like I have 1-3rd but not OD. Sometimes when it kicks down it starts to bog and not up-shift unless I release my foot from the accelerator slightly.
Now I am use to a 93 GMC S-15 and when I say no OD I mean it either is so smooth compared to the GMC or it shifts sometimes into 4th
I keep it in the OD drive and manually put it into 3rd and it downshifts. My problem is I do not know if it is going from 4 to 3 or from 3-2.
I have no trouble codes.
So I want to try and adjust the Kick-down cable first.
Thanks

RE: Kick-down adjustment
95 has a 4l60e trans. There is no kick down cable. It is all controlled electronically. The only two cables going to the intake are throttle and cruise.
