Default knocking/ticking

I have a 1995 blazer LS4 door 4WD, when I start it on a cold day it knocks/ticks. But when it warms up it goes away. People are saying it might be a sticky lifter. It's not missing or anythng. Other than the knock/tick on a cold start it runs great. After reading alot of posts I think I came to the right place for help.

a cold start on a cold day will cause a tick. mine does as well. It's because your oil is drained into your pan and when u start on a cold day you must wait for the lifters, valves, etc to prime with oil.

the temp is in the teens and I'm running 5/30. About 2 months ago I was shopping and when i came home, the next day I stated it and thats when it started. I was a quart and a half low on oil. I know I did some damage because thats when it all started. On a warmer day it does it but not as bad and it goes away faster. And the colder the longer, but eventually it does go away when the engine is warmed up.

My 98 did the same thing up until yesterday. Now when i start it up after a few hours of cool down it ticks really loud. After warm up you could not tell the difference. I am not sure that the lifters need replaced at this point (or so i hope) but i am going to try the seafoam method and an oil change.

I am thinking maybe the oil is just thinned out, or possibly i got some particulates/antifreeze in it when i did the intake week before last.
