Default No crank

Just bought a 2000 4 x 4 trailblazer yesterday with 110,000 miles. Ran well and started all day. This morning just a little cold outside. Starter would not even click. Charged battery and cleaned terminals. Still no click. Turned key a few more times and it started fine. Turned off and on several times and it started fine. I don’t want to be stuck somewhere with no click. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Make sure both ends of both battery cables are clean & tight. Take them apart and use a wire brush, sandpaper, file, etc etc to make them shine. Clean up the terminals on the battery the same way.
