Default Odd tranny noise

98 blazer 4l60e drove it last night, every thing sounded fine. minus 3 overnight. Started it up this morning and there is a weird squeaking rubbing sound from the tranny. Shifts fine works normal. Goes away in gear 90%. goes away completely when warm. Fluid level good. checked the converter and thats tight. Stumped on this one

Just saw a post online saying that a clogged filter can cause a squealing pump. will do a filter and fluid change tomorrow

Changed the fluid and filter, still made the noise went away in a few minutes. Drove it for a half hour, shut it off and restarted it and had the noise again just till it was running. Thinking now its the starter. Almost an electrical and grinding sound when I turn it over. will pull it tomorrow and inspect it. Think its original.

Well, new starter, still makes the noise. I`m lost, almost sounds like the torque converter rubbing the case. As said above goes away when warmed up. Runs as normal. I give up for now, maybe it will fix itself LOL or break, then I`ll know what it is

Figured it out, starter relay was screwing up. Switched the rear defog relay and no noise. Slight ticking but may be a bad tooth or 2 on the flex plate
