Default Poll: Which would you use

I bought a '91 S-10 with a bad motor. it's a 4.3 TBI with a 700R4. It came with a replacement '94 4.3 TBI. I also have a '93 4.3 CPI, out of a Blazer I use to have. (Metal mites got to it.)

I know nothing about the '94, except that it sat in the back of the truck before I bought it, and it supposedly only has 55,000 miles on it (no proof of that though). It turns over good, but spit water from one cyl, when I squirt oil in it and turned it over by hand with a ratchet. Not much, but it did. The intake is off, and spark plugs are out. so That's how the water got in it. It's been raining here, in fact i looked at it and bought it in the rain, then towed it with a dolly 50 miles home. (I tarped the motor first) It was covered with a piece of roofing metal, laid over it, for what I was told a week.

The '93 ran great, I had put a new injector in it, a couple of years before I pulled it out 4 years ago. It would puff a small amount of smoke, only at start up, after it sat usually all day. It has been sitting inside on a cart, since I pulled it out. I have the ecm, and wiring for it also. I do not have the 4l60e that was with it.

I want to put a V8 in it, but budget won't let me till a least next spring, and I need the truck.
