Pushrod info
My Bravada came down with a case of the lifter tick. Sounds just like it did in my old Chevy Cheyenne with the 4.3 TBI. It's not rod knock (top or bottom) and it's not piston slap. This gives me an excuse to get new lifters, pushrods and rocker arms.
Here's my question. On Rockauto, they offer pushrods of two different lengths. One is 7.195" oal for intake and exhaust, and the other is 7.1870" oal, also for intake and exhaust. Would I be able to use either one?
I imagine there wouldn't be a huge difference, and I doubt the .008" would cause any interference.

0.008 will make no difference.
Does your lifter tick sound like this (post#1 video)?

It's nowhere near that loud. Mine has no problem with oil pressure. Cold start, it goes up to 60 psi and stays there until warm. After warmed up sufficiently, it goes down to no lower than ~45 psi idling, and will go up to 60 psi again when I accelerate.
Aside from the tick, mine is quiet.

According to a former GM mechanic, as low as 18 psi can be acceptable. Mine never goes below 40-45 psi when warm, so that's not a problem. That seems even better than the MOT truck (management of traffic) that I drive at work. It's a 2006 International 4300 with the International 7.6L L6 turbo diesel. Cold start, it goes up to 60-65 psi. Warm, it settles to about 25-30. But diesel engines do operate a little bit differently than gasoline engines.

Best wishes for a successful repair.

The average Joe would say "man, I gotta buy parts and have work done? Crap!"
People like me (and there appears to be a few people just like me on this forum) say "I gotta buy parts and put them on? Maybe even buy a new tool or two? Yes!"
