I have been working on putting the front end together on a 1980 k5 blazer. The truck came with the front end disassembled and it was missing multiple parts so I am not sure which pieces I am missing until I try and put that component in. I installed the front clip and set the radiator on the rubber mounts that go underneath it but I am not sure how the top of the radiator gets fastened in. Does anyone have any photos of theirs installed or can possible tell me what part is needed? I looked at the parts available on LMCtruck.com and it seems like I only need the panel shown in the diagram I've attached labeled "2" because none of the other parts are spec'd out for a 1980. If someone can verify this that would be amazing. Thanks!

 

#4, 6, 7, 8, & 9 hold the upper part of the radiator in place.

 

Any idea if they are different for the 80'? Those parts on lmcttucks website say they are only for 81-91. Anywhere else you can recommend buying them from?

 

I also have another question more related to the first diagram I posted than the original topic.... Anyways, I purchased a new coolant overflow tank for the vehicle and it has a large ~.75" hole in the top where the overflow hose goes into the tank. Anyone know how the hose interfaces with the tank? It looks like there should be some kind of snap on fitting that goes around the hose and possibly a "straw" type tube that would run down to the bottom of the tank. The hole im talking about is circled in red in the photo..
