The No 3rd or 4th gear symptom chart lists the 2-3 shift solenoid valve as the item to check, checking for sediment in the valves, a faulty electrical connection, and/or a damaged seal.

The wiring can be quite easy to damage when installing the pan if one is not careful.
How in the world do you know basically everything about Blazers.. when you don't even have a 2nd gen! I'm impressed!

Used to have a 2k Bravada (same thing as a Blazer). I still have all of my reference materials from that. Plus a LOT of books on transmissions, engines, etc. ATSG manuals FTW!

I dropped the pan today and removed the 2-3 solenoid. The seal appears to be fine and I am not seeing and sediment around the valve. I also removed the 1-2 to compare them. Is there a way to test if the solenoid fires or not while out of the valve body? Also are the solenoids interchangable to see if I lose 1-2 instead of 3 when swapping them?

I also pulled up codes from the PCM and I had no tranny codes. I had a p0102 MAF circuit low and a engine misfire code.

Both solenoids read around 21 ohms and with key on they are getting voltage. Any thing else to look for? I was looking on google for some suggestions and it said that there is a fuse for the transmission? I didnt see one in the fuse block though. I am prolly gonna bring it to a tranny shop now because this is as far as my knowledge goes lol.
