hey folks, new to the s10 world, i got a 89-94 s10, 4x4, auto, 4.3l.. my question is how do u remove the starter?? i have read an read an keep getting different awnsers, remove the exhaust manifold, unbolt the trans mount, unbolt the motor mounts, some say u dont got to remove any thing.. has any 1 did a starter an know for sure what i need to do??? thanks for any info

 

i think ive done every s10 but those. the older 2.8 s10s you just had to take a sawzall and trim a bracket for the 4x4 if you didnt want to lift the motor. the newer s10s 95+ were hit ore miss. sometimes they came out sometimes they didnt, i think it had to do with how worn out the motor mounts are. but if it wouldnt come out i just took the large motor mount bolts out and lifted the motor a inch or so
