You should do a fuel leakdown test. Very possibly a fuel delivery issue.

pump and filter are less than 6 months old and plugs are less than a week old did a compression check and it was fine

What brand of pump did you put in? Any brand besides AC Delco or Delphi are known to have a common issue of failing. Regardless of the brand of fuel pump...you still should do a fuel leakdown test. It could be a pressure regulator or injectors or other things. The leakdown test will either rule fuel delivery out or start you in the right direction. Also, is there any SES codes?

Do a fuel leakdown test. Borrow or buy a fuel pressure test gauge from an auto parts store. Put it on the test port on the metal fuel line heading to the plenum. Turn your key on, leave the engine off (KOEO). In the first ~2 seconds the fuel pump is running you must get a reading of 60-66 psi. You may have to bleed the air out of the test gauge in the first attempt until the gauge goes back to zero and then KOEO again. After the initial 60-66psi when the fuel pump is running, the pressure must stay above 55psi for at least 10 minutes. Don't start your truck during this process. Post your results

Any cylinder misfire can be caused by a fuel delivery issue as well as other things. You can also pull the MAF off and clean it with MAF spray. Be careful not touch the little wire or break it.
