secondary air system and intake hose

secondary air system and intake hose

From what I understand the intake hose for the pump just hangs open under the pump. Is this correct? if so, will a frozen open check valve cause an exhaust leak?

quick fix

I put an extra check valve on the inlet hose until I have time to fix it right, no more exhaust leak.

The intake hose is supposed to run up along the passenger side tank of the radiator. It is not supposed to hang down below the pump.

I put it in a better location when I "fixed"it. when I do the proper repairs I'll get the replacement hose outlined in the tsb, that was designed to prevent water damage to the pump and put it in that location.
