Shift gear selector indicator not in sync

TAZ454 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Shift gear selector indicator not in sync
When I put the 98 Blazer in Dive position the indicator will how its in third gear , sometimes when in reverse it will show its in neutral, if I move the shift lever up and down it will sync up to the correct position
