Default 94 V6 4.3 Hard to start in morning

Hello my blazer is very hard to start first thing in the morning, it takes about 15 atempts everymorning the first start of the day. It seems to get worse the cooler it is OAT. Once she is fired it runs smooth and good. It never has another start problem through out the day. I dont know if it is city driving that I mostly do that is causing the problem, If I take a long highway trip with some injector cleaner in the tank it gets better for awhile.

I changed out my spider assembly 2 years ago for a different problem that worked well, I changed plugs wires, cap, and rotor 2 months ago for a running rough lack of power problem that is now fixed. Just cant figure out why it is hard to start in morning. I dont know if the injectors could use one of those $99.00 service specials or if that even works. Thanks for the help

Default RE: 94 V6 4.3 Hard to start in morning

If you turn the key to the "RUN" position and wait for the pump to shut off, then back to "OFF", and repeat 5-6 times and then attempt to start the truck. If this works, the most likely cause is a fuel pressure bleed down. Most probable cause is a failing FPR. To verify, test the fuel pressure, specifically the leak down. If you bleed the pressure down to 10psi, you should not see more than 2-3 psi drop over a 10 minute period.
