Still Surging when cold..NEED HELP PLEASE
I posted a few days ago and no one responded but I have changed a few things since then and its still surging when its cold.
2000 blazer 4.3
When its cold it starts good but feels like it has a small miss. Then it surges and sputters for the first 7 or 8 miles then lines out and drives fine for the rest of the day.
Parts I have changed.
Intake gasket ( had a bad leak, thought it might be sucking air)
Cap, Rotor and Wires
Fuel pump
Fuel Pressure Regulator ( hard start before I fixed this, now starts fine)
Cam Sensor ( was throwing a Crankshaft Camshaft Position Correlation code)
Checked fuel pressure ( 62 psi w/ key on )
Cleaned EGR valve
Also note that a mechanic checked the timing and at first it said retarded 20 degrees and after 5 minutes running it went back to 0. Mechanic suggested a bad distributor.
The sputtering was less noticeable for a day after changing the cam sensor then started surging and sputtering again in the first 8 miles. I'm also getting terrible gas mileage. Not sure if thats relevant.
I dont understand whats causing this to sputter and surge when cold then all of a sudden fix itself. Before I change the distributor does anyone have any ideas here? Anyone?
