Wont start horrible sound!
I have a 2000 chevy blazer 4x4 that i recently replaced the fuel pump and filter on. now after about a week it will not start and makes a ear piercing sound. i believe its the starter but I'm not 100% sure yet i need some advice, is it common for the starters to go out after these other issues or could i be facing something bigger.

theoretically there's is zero relation between a starting going out and a bad fuel pump/filter... Unless when your car wouldn't start you cranked it for a long time, but even that would just burn up the starter motor which wouldn't result in a loud noise..
If the noise your speaking of sounds like a grinder tearing into a piece of metal, then I agree with the above poster that it's your starter grinding on the flex... for whatever reason the starter gear is not engaging enough with the flex plate to spin it.. this could be because of broken/worn teeth on either gear or the starter gear not fully engaging...
get up under there and inspect near where the starter meets the trans housing... see if there're any damaged teeth on the flex plate or the starter bendix gear...
Of course, the first step is isolating where the sound is coming from..
