Trying to replace the dimmer switch for the bright lights. It is located on the steering column of the 89 k5. Can't get to the small nuts to take it off without dropping the column. Watched a YouTube video about it and the guy says if you have an auto transmission you may damage the shifter cable. Has anyone done this and can the tranny cable be damaged? Thanks.
