Question Installing a/c

I'm looking at a diesel blazer and it doesn't have a/c in it. In AZ or NV, which ever I find a job in, needs a/c for summer time heat. How hard is it to install from scratch? Would it be cheaper to just get a gas blazer? I want the diesel just because it's better on fuel. I found a few blazers for 3500 and under.

Is it a CUCV (Military) or regular K5? An aftermarket system isn't too bad to install. Just the room under a CUCV Blazer makes things a little more difficult due to the two batteries.

CUCV. Looks like I might be willing to do the work to do it. I just gotta match the a/c that gets pulled at a junk yard for my beast right or are most 80's blazers the same?

If you're talking transferring from one vehicle to another, that's a TON of work. RetroBlazer has the right idea, install an aftermarket A/C kit..... much easier job, probably do it in a day.

CUCVs never had A/C and it's VERY difficult to install it.

Ordinarily I would not advise to install anything aftermarket. But in this case, it's your most feasible option.
