Default just bought first K5 Blazer

just bought my first K5. It's a 1989. It has a 4'' suspension lift, dont know what brand. Tires and wheels are good on it they are 35x12.50 on 15s. Has dual flowmaster 40 series exhaust. Dont know what else the previous owner did to it. That's bout all i know bout it. Just wanting to see if any one can tell me some ideas to make it better.

ad244 alternator. It almost bolts up, I had to drill a new bolt hole in the aluminum mounting bracket (the metal was soft as butter).

Stereo. I put components in the side panels below the dash above the floor. Cut the holes with a grinder...

LMC sells headlight housings for replaceable 9006 bulbs instead of the crappy sealed beams that are on there now. You can put HID's in the LMC housings, but it's not legal

Yeah eurolights.com has some too, but I've read the lenses are crap. Apparently they are not DOT compliant, either. I haven't ordered mine from LMC yet, but I will soon when I deem my '89 worthy =).

I found this on a firebird/transam forum, apparently the 98-01 or something like that had these. Some guy on fullsizechevy.com a few years ago found bosch H4 150mm housings that were factory on the transam's in germany, but the last known stockpile sold out earlier this year (a racecar shop in PA).

I'm going to put this in the useful threads sticky...
