K5 LS1 build questions
Hi,
I'm just starting to rebuild my Blazer from the ground up. I've aquired a LQ4 6.0L from a 2001 Chevy truck and the motor mounts needed. I'm trying to find out if a 4L80 trans will connect to my transfer case or if I'll need to update to a newer one? I could rebuild the 700 in the truck now, but I dont want to spend the money needed to make it safely hold 600hp...Oh yeah, it's gonna be a turbocharged Blazer!
I'm looking at LMC truck for my replacement body panels...anybody have good or bad thoughts on their products?
Thanks

i dont believe so. your transfercase off the 700r4 it will have a 27 spline input where the 4l80 will have a 32 spline output, if you can find a transfercase off a th400 it might fit. kinda hard to say for sure. i been thinking about doing this similar swap in the future
im not 100% if the 4l80 has a 32spline output shaft come to think of it, if you have one sitting around count the splines coming out of it, i have one buried in my garage but been a while since i looked at it. but all the 700r4's ive seen will have the 27spline output
