1982 6.2l Do i need back pressure??
I'm new to this forum and i'm hoping that someone can help me out a little.
I've got a '82 K5 with a 6.2l diesel and a banks sidewinder turbo set up on it running a straight pipe. and someone was telling me that if i had some back pressure then it would run better? what do you guys think?

Turbos love straight pipes, spooling up faster offer better torque that way.
4 stroke engines don't need backpressure anyway, what they need is the right velocity in the exhaust gases to pull the exhaust gases out of the combustion chambers without pulling too much fresh gas with it.
