removing a/c on 89 k5 5.7

Default removing a/c on 89 k5 5.7

Hey got working on my truck today and found that the alternator pulley cracked, while im replacing it i want to throw the a/c in the trash while doing so. anybody attempt this yet and if so is there a kit avalible to convert it. Any help/ suggestions would be great

You should only have to find the idler pulley from another TBI equiped serpentine belt engine (4.3L, 5.0L, or 5.7L) without A/C and the appropriate belt.

Here are the various belt routing diagrams for the various arrangements:

Thanks alot going to rip out the a/c system tomorrow
