you got the np203 case right? that thing sucks. its so big, heavy and awkward, i would take mine out and just put down some old carpet and literally chuck norris kick that thing backwards when the bolts were loose and just let it fall. its about impossible to balance it on a little floor jack.
youll see when you get under there, pretty self explanatory. there is like 7 bolts bolting through the adapter towards the t-case, just unhook the driveshafts, electrical, linkages and whatever else, then take the bolts off

So theres the right way to suggest searching then your way.. Come on now.
Would renting a transmission jack help? Or do you have to get the truck in the air a ways for that? Just a thought.

Harbor freight makes a good transmission jack that can be had for under $300... Since you're lifted you need to have one with a pretty good reach and since the 203's are so damn heavy you want something stable. Low-Profile Transmission Jack - 2000 Lb. Capacity
Will this work for everyday use? Like most HF stuff probably not.
But if you plan to pull more than one transmission/transfer case it's not a bad idea. Remember if you rent one you'll have to rent it once when you pull it and then again when you have to re install.
Other than that it is pretty simple to unbolt the t-case, no mystery bolts anywhere.

This would work fine with a transmission that has an even weight distribution and a flat pan to sit on the plate but I'd be very wary trying to use it to take down a transfer case.
