Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
1988 Chevrolet K5 Blazer originally from SW Texas, IE: Rust free every sheet panel needed some work to remove the 'hail-ball' damage. Put on a new hood as it saved man hours of dent removal. Welded on frame support kit even though the frame is/was solid and crack-free. Interior was in like new condition.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Only changed every system that has Oil or fluid in it. Engine, transmission, transfer case and both differentials. Hubs are 'Automatic' Option from Factory. I put a Edelbrock 3704 TBI intake manifold on it & chrome valve cover as well as a chrome air cleaner lid, but there isn't any additions I want to do. It cam with a 3" Magnaflow exhaust system on it. And I put a K&N air cleaner in it, and it runs smooth as a babies a$$$ so that's fine by me.
Suspension Modifications:
Put in all original springs, including the front spring which is regarded as a 2 leaf but is really just a 1 piece spring. Replaced all of the shocks, (vehicle has the "quad-shocks" Opinion #Z75 and I upgraded the stabilizer bars. Put oversized 1/8" on the front and a whole kit (a 1/4") rear bar.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Stayed with stock all the way around only addition was tires :BF Goodrich "Long Trails" white letters out.
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
Did nothing as it was in perfect condition however I did put in a expensive Pioneer audio sound system by one of Philadelphia's top shops. Sound is phenomenal. Entire truck had a body- off restoration, two stage urethane two color paint work, 3 wet sanding between coats and two final clears. Stored 3 months till paint was fully cured and wet sanded and buffed out and carnauba waxed. Finish is brilliant. Truck was Beige and gold, and I changed to beige and tangent #72 red sides. New Door handles, locks and tailgate rebuilt and inside painted with 2 coats of base coat beige and 2 coats clear.
Future Modifications:
Besides putting a LOT of miles on it it's not a garage queen, ( How ever I is garaged in the winter) "I know you think I'm crazy, but I have good reason for doing so) I use a 2014 GMC Terrain in the winter. Read more ยป
