Default 2wd w/ 15x8 up front?

Howdy everyone, after an extended time away, I've finally started the build process on my 96 Jimmy. First things first, I had to fix my minor issues, then I recently purchased a set of wheels to replace the old stock ones. They're Pro Comp Rock Crawlers (Cragar Window D Knockoffs), and I plan to go lower with them. The 3/3 drop kit should be arriving soon, so I wanted to test fit my wheels with no tires to check the fitment. I'm having issues up front with the wheel rubbing against the upper control arm, but only at almost full lock. Is anyone presently aware of what size spacer/adapter it would take to push the front wheels out just enough to clear the control arm?

Thanks in advance, guys!

What is the backspace on the wheels? That'll help to know to figure out how much of a spacer you need.

I'm sorry, I completely forgot about that lol. It's a 4.5" backspace with 0mm offset

Did some research and it looks like I need a 1" spacer to accommodate for the new wheel. Anyone able to verify before I purchase the adapter?

Sorry, been out in the woods chasing elk. Do you have a 2wd or 4wd? If 2wd, you shouldn't need any spacers. If 4wd, you don't have enough backspacing and a spacer will make matters worse.

It's a 2wd, I actually thought it would be the opposite like the guys with running Corvette wheels. 4wd fit fine but 2wd needs adapters to clear them. The wheels fit the rear fine, and they work to a degree on the front, but if I go full lock, the rim hits the upper control arm. But it's only at full lock, so I figured a small spacer would manage to push it out a bit and avoid rubbing metal on metal when making sharp turns. But hey, I've been wrong before. Haha just wanted to try and make the wheels I have work before dropping some more money to get 15x7s for the front.

Just re-read what I wrote and with a 4wd you would need spacers, sorry about that.

Sounds like a .25" space might work for you. 15X7's with 4.5" backspacing you should need a spacer as that is the same size as stock.
