bought mine fir $1800 back in October. Bought all ac delco tune up parts off ebay including plugs, wires, cap, and rotor button for around $100. Also bought a nice key blank and a new key fob for less than $20. Put 2 tires and an alignment on for a little over $300. Spent about $40 at the boneyard on miscellaneous parts. So about $500 this year.

Default Owned my blazer

Bought it in September of 20009. It had 70 thousand original miles on it and paid $1,100.00 for it. Haven really had to put much in to it mabey $300.00. It has really been a great car just minor problems. But nothing real major yet.

Default How long and how much

I have had mine since September of 2009 after my kidneys failed going down the freeway and I totaled my 96 with 50,000 on it second owner. But the next one I bought was a 2003 with 70,000 on it and it and it was so well taken care of that I would have sworn that a mechanic owned it before me. But since purchase for 11,000 I have put new shocks all four in it and all four disk brake pads 4 new all terrain good years tires. Extra large amp alternator because wasn't happy when everything was on it would lower to 12 volts but hold it. So got me a $160.00 heavy duty output alternator just because I wanted that charge needle to stay above the red peg as it does now. Also new wires plugs valve cover gaskets and garmets. Miscellaneous emission parts. And now thanks to the freeways pot holes at 60 MPH I think the left upper ball joint is going bad but if so I will just replace all four at once and they sure have went up in price on the u tube video the guy said they were like $15.00 a piece and for the better quality they were like $30.00. But at discount GM parts they are $27.44 a piece for the uppers and $41.60 for the lowers. Ether way If one needs to be replaced I will just do all four. Just the way I am. By the way I still have 6 of those automotive leak detectors that I lowered to $155.00. And now for a new year discount I will let the last six I have built for $125.00 a piece and that's quite a deal since I have close to $175.00 in the parts to build them. and they still hold a 90 day warranty if your not totally satisfied you can get your money back on one. But I doubt anyone that purchases one will ever return it. Once they see how really useful they are and how well they have been made they will still be hanging around in garages in 10 years from now.

Bought my 97 for $850 about two hours ago..

I've spent $0 for part, but I'm _certain_ that'll change real soon. Especially since it's missing an alternator.

Actually, after inspecting it for a few hours, it doesn't seem too bad. Some surface rust on the bodywork, dried out swaybar end-link bushings, small exhaust leak I need to locate and the missing alternator.

Things left to fully inspect: electrical system and I want to tear down the brakes to make sure they're proper.

got ours in august of 2015. it had 182000km on it. now its got 243000km on it.

1999 chevy blaZer 4 door lt 4x4

what ive gotten into it:

transmission service
4 ball joints
pitman arm
e brake pedal assembly
driver side front door(window motor went, cheaper to buy door and paint it)
passenger side wheel hub
front and rear shock absorbers
s10 off set rims with goodyear wrangler duratrac 235/75/15
muffler
brush guard
rear tail light covers
nerf 3" side steps (to be installed)
front and rear window rain deflectors
front bug deflector.

regular maintenance oil changes, new air filters and just got sparkplugs and wires.

whats left to go in:

door and dash speakers
stereo+sub+amp
hd headlights and smoked front turn signals
roof rack
ZR2 rear tire carrier
2" body lift

i read someone looking into adding the zr2 gas tank on to their blazer, or switching them around as the zr2 is bigger. im thinking myself as to adding it, having the second gas tank, as me and the wife like to take road trips just to drive and see the scenery, would be ideal for the long hauls.
