Default 2001 Chevy Blazer LS 2-Door Question.

2-19-2018: Hi! As a supplemental vehicle I just bought this LS 4X4. It is missing a part under the engine hood, that you pull up and manually lift to support the engine hood. I had this same sort of thing in a '99 Chevy Cavalier I used to have. Does anyone know what this part is actually called? I have had no success trying to order or find it. It's a pretty simple part. All the best and thank you for any info. - Tom K.

Hood prop or prop rod. Any junkyard should be able to get you one, I don't know if it's something they produce new still- not a common part to go missing.

Yeah, salvage yard would be your cheapest bet, or ebay for money and convenience.

Crazy LMC doesn't sell those...but I guess they can't have everything.
