the trans went bad in my blazer other than that and some shotty bondo work on the roof by the previous owner it is cherry inside and out,all pwr and most of the options,push button,cup holders,headliner compatments,etc...i was gonna rebuild the trans but i ran across another 95 blazer its a 2 door and is in the same if not better cond than my 4 door,same options package except it is not push button 4x4....im thinkin this is gonna be more reliable than push button right?
the thing is the new blazer runs but it has a big problem...i was told it was the head...it runs but it is not burning all the fuel...you can smell it coming out the exsaust bad!
also is putting out a bit of smoke...but there are no knocks or ticks in the 4.3 vortech and it seems to drive ok other than being a little sluggish and bogging off the line but once you get into 3rd it seems ok aside from the fumes.
so im thinking i might swap the engines and part out the white one..

does anyone have any input on the engine problem? or should i just swap them out?

 

It would probably be easier to swap the engines if you have the time. They should be the same if they are both w's. How many miles are on both? Also how much is he asking for the 2door? I got mine for about 2500 but it needed alot of cosmetic work/ball joints.

 

yea i have the time and they are the same type of 4.3.....the one with the upper plentum...the engine in the 4 door has 160,000...the 2 door has 140,000 miles..and i got it for a deal!!!!!!!!!altoether i got it for less than 500 bucks....other than the engine runnin a little rough and a spot on one of the fenders it is like new!
