Towing Capacity

Towing Capacity
New to the post so hope I am doing this correctly. I have a 2002 Blazer LS, 2-DR, automatic. The trailer weight in the manual says 5700 LBS, the GCWR is 9500 LBS, my car weighs (with passengers, cargo, gas, etc.) a total of 3,910, the door panel says GVWR 4450 LBS and my axel is 3.42. So, what size trailer could I tow? I have been researching this until I am blue in the face. Some say I can pull no more than 4,000 LBS, while others say 5,000 LBS. with an excellent towing package (which I don't have right now). Don't want to spend the money if I can't pull anything with my Blazer. I have been looking at the Trailmanor lite trailers and the other ultralite trailers which are usually under 3,000 LBS with the standard equipment (no AC or other extra cargo). Should I forget about towing anything? Thanks.

Exactly! 5,000 pounds is the max trailer weight (trailer + cargo) that you should haul given that you have a hitch installed that can handle that weight.
