Default Unfamiliar parts

Finally got to poke around under my new rig today. Noticed 2 things that has me guessing. First is on my rear axle I have a large round drum? Not really sure what to call it. Just where driveshaft ends, seems like it's part of the yoke? Next is my rear shocks have springs on the outside. I've messed with Blazers for many years and never seen either. Anyone know if these are stock?

The shocks with the springs are aftermarket upgrade with springs for smoother ride while towing or hauling loads.

The drum on the rear pinion yoke is basically a harmonic balancer for the rear drivetrain. It's factory and needs to stay aligned correctly. Mark the orientation before disassembly to ensure correct balance.

Makes sense on the shocks, previous owner had a bass boat. I've never seen the balancer before but before this one my newest blazer was 2000. Must have been added later. Thanks for the reply.

Hmm not really sure. Part of the head liner? Possible to pull off and recover yourself? Might be a good idea to start a thread in the right section. Probably get a lot more response that way
