Default What to look out for?

I hope this is the right place to post this but here goes. I will be getting my first car soon and I really like the 2 door Blazers. I am going to talk to one of my relatives that has one for sale this weekend hopefully. It has steel wheels that are pretty rusty, a little bit of body rust but no rust thru that I know of, it has been sitting for about a year but before that it was a daily driver, he doesn't use it anymore because he got a newer car for better gas mileage for driving to work. It is from the 1988-1990 body style but I'm not exactly sure of the year. I'm not sure if it's 2WD or 4WD, not sure if it's a 2.8 or 4.3, how many miles are on it, etc. I saw it a couple weeks ago driving by his house and then I started thinking that it would be a good first car for me. When I go to look at it this weekend hopefully is there anything specific to look out for? I have worked on cars before I'm just wondering what problems they had with this year of the Blazer. Thanks in advance for your help guys!

Thanks! I'll definitely look out for that stuff, he said last year that he was going to scrap it so I'm sure I could get it dirt cheap.
