What size bolts are for the plastic skid plate for 2nd Generation Blazers?
Someone took my skid plate off before I bought my truck and never put it back, I bought another one off of Ebay but they sent me bolts that were too small lol. Anyone know the size? Thanks!

I know the bolt hex is 15mm ... so the threads should be M10 or M12 x 1.5 .... I'll check that for you sometime tomorrow. Shoot me a PM if I forget!

Alright thanks!

Confirmed: M10 x 1.5 - first & second gens are same.
Length wise they don't need to be too long -- 25mm or 1" would be enough.

i had this problem.. the ones that bolt in to the frame are different that the two that bolt to the brackets on either side of the oil pan. im not sure if thats a different story between 1st and 2nd gen's because the brackets are different between the two. m10 sounds right for the front two but for the bracket bolts i wanna say m8.

Sorry for the hijack.
Has anyone ever made a steel skid plate for these trucks?
My plastic one has seen better days, so that's one thing I was thinking about looking into

You can find plenty of info on metal plates if you use the search engine on the top, there's many threads about it. I bought the bolts, cost me $5. They fit perfect

oops for some reason i thought you were talking about the skid plate under the front diff and oil pan. dont know why lol.
As for the steel skid plates:
well lots of these trucks came with aluminum skid plates for the oil lines, front diff and oil pan, transfer case, and even the gas tank. you could always go to the junk yard and try to find one with the aluminum skid plates. its not steel but its a lot better than plastic. but i think i remember someone talking about making one out of steel, if you have the resources and the know how to do it then i would say go for it. they would just be heavier than all hell lol.
