Default coolant temp. sensor?

I broke the temp. sensor off when removing exhaust manifold. The old sensor has one wire and the replacement has two. I thought I would hook one to the original wire and the other to ground. Temp guage redlines. Does anyone know the part number for the single wire sensor? thanks

Try this link:

http://198.208.187.182/internet/Search.jsp?year=1996&make=CHEVROLET&model=BLAZER&e ngine=V6 4.3L 262cid GAS FI N Engine VIN %3D W &application=Car%2FLight Duty Truck

Enter your trucks information then look for cooling system then look for sensor coolant temperature there are two numbers the one with the photo is the two wire the other I don't know about but if you have a local AC/Delco parts retailer they can help you...

You probably have 2 coolant sensors. One for the temp guage and one for the computer.
Did you order the coolant temp sensor for the guage (located in the cylinder head)?

I ended up getting correct one. It didn't even dawn on me that there would be two different sensors. thanks to all.
