Blazer 93 S10 Tahoe question
Hi
I had my radiator change 2 days ago and apparently during the exchange a grounding cable came loose and this cause a few problems before me noticing and fixing it, my Anti-lock and Brake lights came on in my dash board so I tried erasing it using the (leave the car battery all night unplugged method) so this didn't work, A friend told me it involves using some key sequences involving leaving the car keys in the ignition and plug and unplug something he's not sure about my car.
Anyways I am a newbie involving car electronics but I service the car myself from the tune-ups to the brakes and even the suspension but don't know much involving the car electronics computer stuff... Does anyone know how to reset the computer of my car or erase these codes??
My truck is a Chevy blazer s10 Tahoe 4WD Vortec 4.3 engine and everything’s runs ok

RE: Blazer 93 S10 Tahoe question
usually, you unhook the negative terminal on battery for about 10 minutes and it will reset.

It will only reset if you fixed the problems.

RE: Blazer 93 S10 Tahoe question
I tried that but it didn't work and I know I don't have problems with the ABS system; the lights turn on because of the wire short
Anyways I found the solution from a friend that owns a car repair shop and here it is
CLEARING CODES
Codes may be erased with the hand scanner if available or, using a jumper wire:
If a hand scanner is available, use it to erase the computer module code memory.
Codes may be cleared without a scan tool as follows:
a. Turn the ignition switch ON but do not start the engine.
b. Use a jumper wire to ground ALDL/DLC terminal H to terminal A for 2 seconds.
c. Remove the jumper wire for 1 second.
d. Repeat the grounding for 2 more seconds.
e. When the trouble codes are cleared, the ANTILOCK and BRAKE lamps should both
Illuminate and then extinguish.

So you were able to clear the codes and they did not come back?
And just an FYI, you should be able to go to any Advanced Auto or Autozone and have them check/clear your codes. OBD1 is all inclusive for the lights, IIRC.

Nope and everything is fine now with my car and the world makes sense again...
I’m getting a code reader if I see a good deal in AutoZone because you never know
Thanks and cool forum
