Default vent fan issues

I'm not sure if this is the right section or not.
I have a 2002 trailblazer when I turn on the fan/AC I have to turn the switch up to 4 before I get any air coming out.
what could be my issue? I am not the best mechanically incline person I usually fix basic issues

*Moving to GMT360/370 Section*

Sounds like the typical blower motor resistor pack failure. It is quite easy to change. Requires removing the hush panel under the glove box. Then just unplug the connections and remove the fasteners.
