super 44 muffler or 40 series
i just got my 97 blazer and its my first car and i want to upgrade my muffler but i cant decide on witch muffler to get either the flowmaster supper 44 or the 40 series. do they have close to the same sound? oh and sense im new to everything im a little confused on what sized in and out i need on the muffler.

Go with the 40 series, gives a really nice rumbling sound. Plus most people on here go with the 40 series. as for piping I believe our piping size is 2 in 1/4, but I'm sure someone will chime in and correct me if I'm wrong

Ok thanks for the help! i also was confused on the the offset in and outs but im sure i can figure that out by looking at my stalk muffler.

I have a 40 series sounds good. Not as loud as I expected, but has a nice deep rumble. Our piping, well at least mine was 2.5'' and I'll check to see if I still have the part number so I can tell you which one to get.

I had the super 44 installed on my 95 . sounded pretty good. as for pipe size and offset, your need 2.50 inch inlet and outlet. heres a fe examples what it will sound like... http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...+super+44&aq=f

For some reason it won't go past the 30sec mark for me.. hope it does for you. Either way, it sounds pretty sweet.

Should be 2.5" inlet, 2.25" outlet.

I'm getting a super 44 for my blazer this week.
Is there any major difference between the 44 and the 40?

I got the 40 series on mine. The 40 series is a little deeper sounding than the super 44. If you go to sights and sounds there are vids of both. But not a huge difference I don't think.
