Out with the old in with the new
I have a 97 4dr 4x4, my stock muffler has a hole in it, it sounds pretty nice but it wont pass emissions.
I wont to put a new thrush mufflers on it but don't know where i can get a flange to fit to the stock one, can any one help?

I have always had luck going down to a small Mom and Pop muffler place. Look for the old guy. He might just fix you up really cheap. Im not a fan of the franchise places.

I would suggest the Dynomax Super Turbo catback. It'll bolt up in place and it not only has a much higher flowing muffler than stock, but upgrades the tailpipe size to 2.5" so overall flows better than just a muffler replacement. It's a good priced system and they have a rebate so it's really cheap, and it's not an annoying loud V6 sound, it has a very controlled rumble that sounds stock when cruising but has a great sound when you step on it.

lol, does it sound like a train? My friends Pickup had one and it sounded like a dern freight train.
Anyway, exhaust work is one thing that I leave to my dad or a shop. But if you want to do it yourself I'd definitely get something that bolts up. The more you deal with pipe pieces... the better chance you have at the muffler falling off... like mine. I'm a big fan of Dynomax, my Dad's 79's exhaust is all Dynomax and it sounds great.
