i have the lift.... i think compared to other things i have done its not that bad really.
only real issue is the body mount bolts being rusty. spray them with pb blaster week or so leading into the job everyday.
also find the manual on their site and download the pdf...see if its something you want to do. its actually very helpful...the pictures could be better but it gets the point across.

To be honest they are going to look the same... differences are more related to ride height vs more suspension travel and ride height.
A Suspension lift will give you more travel for more rugged off road conditions and keeping tires on the ground as much as possible. Body lifts just really lift the body and give it that look, and they are cheap and easy.
I do suggest doing both a Suspension and Body to maximize your potential.
The size tire that you can clear depends on whether you want to cut your fenders.

.
Not to thread hijack....again....
But I want to get the 1st gen 3 inch body lift for my 2nd gen but had a few questions. For the rear bumper brackets, I heard you can flip them and put them back in? This true? And how hard of a job are we talking? This is coming from a guy who hasn't put on a lift before. How should I go about approaching this? I need a lift so I can put 31's hopefully with my 17x9 maro wheels on.
