Whats up bro, nice blazer, I got a 91 on 6 inches of all spring skyjacker lift kit with 36's straight off a military hummer,.....I'd def say their easy to install but with it being a 78 i'd say your in for some fun..I wouldn't recommend doing an 8 unless you want to pay for extended driveshafts, brake lines, transfercase drop brackets and shocks unless you have previous experience lifting trucks. but i would recommend 4 inch lift springs. This would allow you to utilize the stock driveshafts, brake lines and still fit 35's...they'll be a LIL tight but you should be fine..I put 35's on my blazer STOCK
I hope this is useful,

Damn spectre... Could have just linked to your build thread or any one of the other threads you have pasted these pictures into... But NO... You can't even link to the pictures properly... Don't bother responding to this though.
As redneckustoms stated, you should try to stay with a 6" or smaller lift unless you really want things to get expensive.
What do you want your truck to do?

IMO the 8" looks better with the bigger tires then the 6". like stated above the 8" requires modification. all depends on what you're gonna use it for. serious offroad go with the 8". pavement pounder and you want some aggressiveness, go with the 6"

Iono i use my blazer for boggin, i ran 38s on it with the 6 inch lift and tenbolts and she ripped through mud that guys with tractors and rockwells were gettin stuck in just cause it was light and dug big time... but i do agree and 8 would be more interesting

i just wanna tear up the mud and i already got 35's on it theres that big a differance in modifications between the 6 and the 8 id prefer the 8 in lift it said on skyjacker i wouldnt need much modification done
