Default defogger relay

ok so i have had a charging problem for a while.. running the blazer os only pumping out 12.6v so new battery, starter, and new alt, all grounds were checked ect. i found that a black wire from the plug that plugs into the relay waaaaay up inside the dash was burnt all the way to the other cluster of black wires that it ties into, weirs thing is that thats the only wire burnt which in assuming that it shorted feom the relay?? i went to ever parts store in town an they cant get me a new relay. can i just leave it unplugged?? or will that cause other problems?? im not 100% sure what this relay all runs..
