Okay I'll be start checking wires as soon as there's daylight tomorrow, and yes I used the resistor cause every time I started the truck one of the hids would shut off and I'd have to kill it and start it again.

for the first 3 years mine worked well with the ahl sensor...then all the sudden it stopped working (one light would be off), put a resistor in it and bam it worked...i had mine come loose and would sometimes work and after i secured it its been good ever since

There's a fuse in the inner fuse panel by the door that keeps popping every time I put a new one in it, it's a 10 amp for the parking lights, I put a volt meter up to it and it's getting 16 volts?

Generally the problems are two types the first being a rough surface on the lens of the headlight, caused by road debris. It can also be tiny cracks in the plastic lens, caused by heat damage from the sun or the bulbs.
If the surface is rough, the lens can be fixed. If the lens is smooth, but full of tiny cracks, it is not fixable. To fix the rough surface, you need to sand down the headlights, starting with 400 grit, and then work yourself up with 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 grit sandpaper. Then go over it with some polishing compound and it should be clear as glass.
