Help installing remote starter.

When I check the middle pin on the ICM I do get the varying voltage with rev engine. But there is no wire, the plug only has two wires, the middle one is missing.

There should be a white wire in the plug harness that plugs into the instrument cluster. You will know it's the tach wire when checking it, set your meter to AC volts, connect your black(ground) lead to a good chassis ground and the red to the wire you believe is the tach wire. You should see about 4 - 6 volts AC at idle and should change when you rev the motor.
