Question Lights on roof rack

Not sure if this is in the correct spot or not, so sorry if it isnt. Just wanting to see how everyone wired up there wires on their roof racks? I was thinking about purchasing 4 lights for rack and couldnt figure out how I could run the wires. Do you have to drill hboles in the roof, or can you just take one of the bolts out of the rack and run it down through there and maybe put some silicone in on top of it to water proof it?

How did you all do yours when installing them?

Some people just run them down to the door. If you want to hide the wires you could run them through the roof rack and drill a hole under the front mounting bracket.

Or if you wanted to get real ocd about it do like my cousin did and run the wires inside the side bars of the rack then through the grommet under the back glass, then back through the cabin to the dash lol but seriously more people run it through the door, but I like your idea about running it through one of the holes already in there.

I just thought it may look a little funny if I had wires hanging off the top of the roof running down into the door. I tried to look at some pictures of how people have theirs done on here but i couldnt see the wires. I went ahead and bought a westin light bar off of Amazon.com for $100 and a mount kit which brought it all up to about 145.00. I bought to Blazer Baja lights for the light bar, so i am going to wait until I get them hooked up and see if more lights will be necessary or over kill. Thanks for your ideas and opinion.

make another harness so you can plug in the lights with like 6ft of excess wire then you can spin them around to spot in the back, when you're done unplug spin around and move back to front then plug into the original slot. so make a harness of wire that acts like a big extension cord in between so it can be removed when its not used. you get what im saying?
