Default Pulsing lights & gauges - suggest a starting point?

So, when my '97 S-10 Blazer LS 4.3 Automatic is going down the road, and especially when sitting, the interior and exterior lights are visibly pulsing/flickering. My two gauges on the right of the dash (gas especially) both wiggle.

If I cut on the turn signal, those two gauges jump with the flick of the turn signal.

Any wiring experts out there know what I can trace these things to?

I think its a typical problem, at least with all of the chevies i have driven/ ridden. my blazer does it all the time. a good smack to the top of the dash usually does the trick. but on a technical note im not sure how to help ya there. im sure an answer is on the way though! make both of us happy! haha
